Released from our archives, this is an real Souvenir jacket made of Okinawa Tiger fabric that was privately procured by a USMC soldier. The fabric has faded and is yellowish overall. The USMC is written on the chest, and above it is repaired with the same fabric, but we assume that perhaps the individual's name was embroidered on it. It may have been a spelling mistake, or it may have been repaired at that time for unknown reasons. It was probably privately procured and tailored with a distinctive standing collar by a tailor who used to be located in Kinmu-cho, Okinawa. It was called "China collar" in Okinawa at that time, and this shape was favored as a souvenir. The jacket can be closed in front with a zipper, and the zipper is a HAMA zipper manufactured by a manufacturer in Higashi-Osaka, Japan. The zipper is slightly worn, so care should be taken when wearing it. An aluminum zipper is used. Among privately procured items, the Tiger Stripe Souvenir Jacket Cut is very rare and precious. Since this is a tailored piece, there is no chain stitching on the lining, only overlapping stitches. The details are also very carefully finished, so you can feel the work that is typical of Okinawan tailors who manufactured a considerable number of jackets at that time. The size is relatively large, so you can still enjoy the condition. Because it is a vintage item, it is a used item. Please note that returns are not possible.
