These are U.S. Navy deck pants used since the 1940s. These waterproof pants were designed to be used for work on decks with strong waves and splashes, and as rain gear for landing parties. They were also partially used by the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War, although some of the materials used were different, as the region was subject to heavy rainfall. They were worn under deck jackets with suspenders, but were also worn by themselves.

Although these pants are made of waterproof fabric, they are made of rubberized material, which has deteriorated in some places. Please be careful when wearing these pants as some parts are slightly hardened. The lining still has adhesive residue on it for waterproofing. It is assumed that this item has been used only a few times. The waterproofing ability has been reduced by half, and those who intend to use it for waterproofing purposes should be sure to perform maintenance after use. It will harden and deteriorate quickly. This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
