These women's pants in leaf camouflage, famous for being worn by ARVN (Army of the Republic of Vietnam) rangers and paratroopers in the 1960s and 1970s. also known as BDQ camouflage or pastel leaf, this camouflage pattern is unique to the Vietnam War.
These pants were part of a grouping of U.S. Army soldiers and belonged to a soldier who was a former military advisor. He tailored these pants for women using camouflage fabrics from the unit he was in charge of, probably as a souvenir for his girlfriend or wife back home. The camouflage fabric is unused in the old form of women's pants with re-zippers and the pants themselves are also unused. Interestingly, some of the pockets are made of civilian fabrics of the time, which shows that the pants were tailored from fabrics that were on hand.
This leaf camouflage itself is not that common, but it is one of the most representative camouflages of the Vietnam War and was used by some elite units along with the tiger stripe. While many soldiers wore OD-colored combat uniforms, the fact that they wore camouflage had an impact on the danger and difficulty of their unit's missions, making it a very high status piece. Although it is an unused item, we will treat it as a used item. Please note that returns are not possible. Zippers should be coated with wax or similar to prevent damage and reduce the burden.
