This is a 3rd Model Jungle Fatigue Jacket from a lot around 1966-67. The size is SMALL-REGULAR. The jacket has the U.S. Army insignia. The MACV division patch on the shoulder, the officer's rank insignia, and the insignia indicating that he is a medical officer are all in their original condition as they were during the Vietnam War. Except for the division patch and the medical insignia sewn on the chest, the rest of the items are locally made.
The jacket is in beautiful condition with some fading. The use of the jacket is within the range of what we can assume that it was actually worn. It is in good condition due to the fact that it was a medical officer and belonged to the MACV. During the Vietnam War, this jacket was worn by soldiers who commanded medical units. It is presumed that it was worn by a U.S. Army soldier who was probably the closest officer to the field and was a qualified doctor who sometimes participated in combat and medical treatment. This is a very rare item. Because it is a used item, returns are not possible. Please understand.
