The 3rd Model is one of the most refined versions of the jungle fatigue jacket, having undergone numerous improvements since the early models. The fabric is 100% cotton OG-107 ripstop. Though thin and lightweight, it ensures durability through a grid-patterned reinforcement thread, making it a practical fabric designed for use in tropical regions. These details also allow you to sense the evolution of the jungle fatigues leading up to the later 4th Model.
A major appeal of this piece is its condition. Judging by its appearance, there are extremely few signs of actual use, and it is considered to be an unused item. The fabric’s original color remains vivid, and there is no significant wear visible around the pockets or along the seams.
However, there are some whitish stains, likely resulting from long-term storage, primarily on the back. These appear to be storage stains rather than damage to the fabric itself, and can likely be reduced to some extent by soaking and washing. To preserve its vintage character, this item is being sold as-is.
The size is the rare LARGE-LONG. According to the label, it measures 41–45 inches across the chest and is suitable for heights of 71 inches or more. While many vintage jungle fatigues tend to be on the smaller side, this larger size—which remains comfortable for a relaxed fit even today—is a welcome feature.
