This is a test sample branch L2-A type flight jacket that was actually worn by former U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Charles Elwood Jaeger, aka Air Force Brigadier General (later Major General) Chuck Jaeger, who broke the Mach 1 speed of sound barrier with his X-1 for the first time in human history in 1947, and was promoted to Brigadier General in around 1969.
