Jungle Fatigue is a tropical combat uniform developed for use in the hot and humid conditions of Southeast Asia, and it is one of the uniforms that symbolizes the U.S. military during the Vietnam War. Throughout the 1960s, minor improvements were made based on feedback from actual combat, leading to the development of multiple models from the initial design.
The 4th Model, representing the later versions, marked a shift from traditional poplin to ripstop fabric. By weaving reinforcing threads into a grid pattern, the fabric features a practical structure that prevents tears from spreading. You can see the fine grid pattern on the fabric of this item, which becomes visible depending on the angle of the light.

As indicated by “DSA 100-69-C-2600,” this is a contract item from fiscal year 1969, making it a garment from the height of the Vietnam War. The details are also brimming with the essence of jungle fatigues.In addition to the front slash pockets, there are large-capacity cargo pockets on both thighs and a flap pocket on the back. The waist features size adjusters on both sides, and a drawcord runs through the hem.
But what stands out most is the size: X-LARGE REGULAR.
According to the label, it fits waists ranging from 39 to 43 inches. While vintage jungle fatigues are most commonly found in sizes like Small or Medium, sizes this large are clearly much rarer. This is an exceptionally interesting piece not only for those looking for a large size they can actually wear but also for collectors who seek out a wide range of sizes.
The condition is also excellent; while there are some whitish stains in a few spots, the rest is in very clean condition. The fabric shows almost no significant fading or wear from use, making it in “New Old Stock” (NOS) condition.
Despite being authentic military wear from over half a century ago, its major appeal lies in how well it has retained the OG-107’s original deep olive color and the texture of the ripstop fabric. This is also a piece you can actually wear over time, allowing the fabric to break in and develop its own unique fade.
