The CWU-36/P summer type is a flame-retardant flight jacket used by the U.S. Air Force and Navy. While the CWU-45/P is for winter use, the CWU-36/P is a summer/warm weather model issued to pilots and ground mechanics, and offers an attractive balance of comfort and breathability. This one is made by Valley Apparel, LLC, a supplier to the U.S. military.
Velcro on both shoulders and chest for patches. The inside tag also clearly shows the MIL spec number "MIL-J-83382C" and NSN (National Stock Number), making this a collectible that remains complete with government-issued specifications.
The condition is very good, with no tears, major stains, or damage, although there are signs of use. The zippers and ribs are also in good condition and can be worn well into the future.
