This is a 2nd Model Jungle Fatigue Jacket from a lot estimated to be around 1965-66. Probably a later lot and eclectic. No shoulder epaulettes, gas flap, rear adjuster, and contract tag are in accordance with 2nd Model features. A very rare piece. Size is MEDIUM-REGULAR, a popular size.

Also noteworthy are the insignia sewn onto the jacket. On the left shoulder is a patch of the MACV, the U.S. Army's Vietnam War headquarters, and the former division was the 101st Airborne Division, an elite unit. On his chest is the Airborne insignia, CIB, etc. He is a MACV soldier with the rank of Major, a Ranger tab, and an AIRBONE tab, making him a truly picture-perfect elite soldier. With such a distinguished career, it is assumed that he held a very important post and was in command of many operations in the field. The name tape and qualification insignia are locally made, presumably in Vietnam, and the 101st Airborne Division AIRBONE tab is also in excellent condition with a mix of local and U.S. supplied items. All patches, in terms of stitching and condition, are in original condition from the Vietnam War. All patches are in original condition from the Vietnam War. The jacket has some fading, but is in good condition and has no missing buttons.

It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
