Okinawan-made Tiger Stripes circulated during the Vietnam War.
Among them, a boonie hat that strongly reflects the use and modification in actual warfare has just arrived. Moreover, wearable sizes are even rarer.

The fabric is a distinctive Okinawan Tiger pattern. The contrasting camouflage has a unique atmosphere typical of locally procured items.

This particular hat is a typical CISO-cut (Counterinsurgency Support Office-derived custom) boonie hat. The brim is cut short afterwards.
Furthermore, the sewing threads of the brim and the body are different, which indicates that this is a modification for post-processing in the field, i.e., for actual combat use. This kind of modification is often done for the purpose of securing visibility and improving mobility, and is a detail that can be seen especially in the elite units used by the Green Berets and the LRRP (Long Range Reconnaissance Reconnaissance Party). The rank insignia is attached to the side, and although it cannot be determined whether this is an original from that time, it is a specification with atmosphere that is presumed to be a part from the Vietnam War period.

The condition of the fabric is good with relatively little fading.
Although this is a used item that has actually been used, it is still in good condition and can be worn well.

This is a realistic modified piece that could never be reproduced with ready-made items, and was born on the scene at that time.
This is a very attractive item for both collection and practical use.

This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
