Shortened and modified brim of an early gold tiger pattern CISO cut boonie hat made by MILITARIA 1911, released in 2024. Delivered identical to the item pictured. This is a limited edition item produced in limited quantities.
Brim size will vary for each individual piece.
This individual item is a type of boonie with an additional bandage pocket sewn onto the boonie, which is used on Tiger Stripe shirts and pants. The pockets are made from the Okinawa Tiger pattern fabric. This setting was transplanted from another Tiger shirt. You will enjoy the different fading ways of each one.
Reproduction of the local modifications seen among U.S. Army Green Beret soldiers and local CIDG soldiers in the 1960s. The boonie hat also serves as a rain hat in the jungle, but in the dense jungle, short brim lengths were sometimes preferred due to poor visibility. In most cases, factory-made boonie hats had a 6.5cm brim, but soldiers could shorten the brim or add additional parts according to their own preferences.
This time, we reproduced the modifications made at that time based on the boonie hats currently on sale at our store. We removed the edge of the factory-made brim, cut off the brim itself, and reattached the edge by sewing it back on with a retro-fashioned look. Therefore, the finish is rougher than the boonie hats already on sale.
Please enjoy the modified version of the boonie hat favored by soldiers of the time.

*When trimming the brim, it is cut out inaccurately instead of a regular circle. Therefore, all widths are not the same length and not even. Please note that this is a product specification and does not constitute a product defect.
*We do not accept returns due to one-of-a-kind modifications.
*Like other products already on the market, this one will shrink after washing and passing through water. Please take into consideration that this will also affect the size of the brim.
